This cartridge is compatible with Citizen GSX120D, 2488DN, and 2939DN printer models.
No, this is an impact ribbon designed exclusively for dot matrix impact printers and will not work in thermal units.
The cartridge is a sealed unit, but regular cleaning of the printer's print head pins is recommended for best results.
You will notice a gradual fading of text density; once print quality is no longer legible, replace the cartridge.
This is an Alpa-Cartridge brand product, specifically designed to meet or exceed the performance requirements of the listed compatible models.
Check that the ribbon is properly tensioned and seated; if the issue persists, ensure the print head is not clogged.
Remove the cartridge, rotate the tension knob to feed the ribbon back into the housing, and re-install carefully.
To install, power off your Citizen printer, open the top cover, and gently remove the old cartridge. Align the new Alpa-Cartridge with the mounting points, ensuring the ribbon sits between the print head and the platen. Turn the tension knob on the cartridge in the direction indicated to remove any slack before closing the cover. Compatibility is strictly limited to the Citizen GSX120D, 2488DN, and 2939DN models. For long-term care, keep cartridges in their original packaging in a cool, dry place until ready for use to prevent the ink from drying out prematurely.
