The Timco Detail Sanding Pads are ideal for woodworkers, DIY enthusiasts, and professional painters seeking a reliable abrasive for precision finishing on wood, paint, varnish, and plaster. These pads provide a superior lifespan and consistent material removal thanks to their high-strength aluminium oxide construction and optimized dust extraction capabilities, though they are specifically intended for hook and loop systems and may not be compatible with adhesive-backed sanders.

No, these pads are designed for dry sanding applications.
While intended for wood, paint, and plaster, they can be used on light metal finishing, though abrasive life may be significantly reduced.
The 180-grit is used for fine finishing, providing a smooth surface ready for paint or final top-coat application.
You need a detail sander that supports 95 x 136mm pads with a hook and loop attachment system.
Please check your specific purchase unit, as packaging quantities can vary by retailer.
Ensure the sander base is clean of old dust and debris; if the hook and loop base is worn, the pad will lose its grip.
Check that the alignment of the punch holes matches the vacuum ports of your sander and ensure your vacuum or dust bag is not full.
Reduce downward pressure and ensure you are not applying force to the very edge of the pad while in motion.
To install, ensure your sander is powered off and the backing pad is clean. Align the punched holes of the sanding pad with the suction ports on your sander's base and press firmly to engage the hook and loop fasteners. The 95 x 136mm sizing is industry standard for many detail sanders, but verify your tool's dimensions before purchase. To care for your pads, tap off excess dust periodically during use and store the sheets in a cool, dry environment. Avoid getting the paper wet, as moisture can degrade the adhesive bond between the abrasive grain and the backing.
