Product Information
Full details
The Boss RE-202 Space Echo Effects Pedal authentically recreates the sound and behavior of the legendary Roland RE-201 Space Echo. It offers a classic multi-head tape echo sound with expanded delay time and an original three-head configuration plus an additional tape head for 12 unique echo combinations. The pedal features an independent stereo reverb section with the original spring reverb type, plus hall, plate, room, and ambience effects. A saturation control adds magnetic tape compression and preamp coloration, while the Wow & Flutter control introduces varying levels of natural tape modulation. You can choose between new and aged tape conditions and selectable input modes for optimum performance with instruments and line-level gear. Warp and Twist effects are available with footswitch control, and you can select between the unprocessed analog dry signal or the modeled sound of the original Space Echo preamp. This pedal also includes four onboard memories plus the current panel settings, with the ability to save and select 127 memories via external MIDI program change. Tap tempo and carryover functions are included, along with true stereo input and output. Expandable control is possible via external footswitches, an expression pedal, or MIDI.
