FAQs

What are the dimensions of the case?

The case measures 19cm x 19cm x 9cm.

Will this fit a large carp big-pit reel?

No, this case is specifically designed for match-sized reels and is likely too small for large big-pit models.

Is the case waterproof?

The outer material is hardwearing and weather-resistant, but the case should not be submerged in water.

Can I remove the internal dividers?

Yes, the internal dividers are adjustable or removable to accommodate different gear configurations.

How do I clean the case?

Use a damp cloth to wipe down the exterior. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

Troubleshooting

Zip feels stiff during operation

Clear any debris or grit from the zip track and ensure the fabric lining is tucked away from the teeth.

Internal dividers are shifting

Ensure the velcro attachments are pressed firmly against the internal side walls and that the reel/spools are packed snugly to prevent movement.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent protection for sensitive reel internals
Compact and easy to pack in larger luggage
Reinforced construction in high-wear areas
Includes dividers to keep spools organized and separate from reels

Cons

Not suitable for very large big-pit or surfcasting reels
Fixed dimensions limit storage of multiple oversized reels
Lacks external pockets for small accessories like tools or oil

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the case, simply unzip the main compartment, position your reel inside, and adjust the internal dividers to create a snug fit for any spare spools. The case is most compatible with standard match-sized reels. For care and maintenance, wipe the outer material with a damp cloth if it becomes soiled with mud or bait residue. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can degrade the water-resistant coating on the outer fabric. Store in a dry, cool place to ensure the internal padding remains free of moisture and mold.
