Setup
- Preparation: Turn off the power to your existing thermostat at the breaker.
- Wiring: Remove your old thermostat and take a picture of the wiring for reference. Connect the wires to the Nest Thermostat E, following the in-app instructions.
- Mounting: Attach the thermostat to the wall using the included screws or the built-in stand.
- Heat Link E: Connect the Heat Link E to your heating system.
- Power On: Turn the power back on at the breaker.
- Nest App: Download the Nest app and follow the on-screen prompts to connect your thermostat to your Wi-Fi network and complete the setup.
Compatibility
The Google Nest Thermostat E is compatible with most 24V heating and cooling systems, including gas, electric, forced air, heat pump, radiant, and oil. It is not compatible with line voltage systems.
Care
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the thermostat. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the battery when prompted by the Nest app. Use a Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery.
- Placement: Avoid placing the thermostat in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
