Setup, Compatibility & Care
To get started, simply remove the lantern from the packaging and ensure the switch is set to the 'On' position. The unit is designed for outdoor placement, but for seasonal storage, it is recommended to keep it in a dry, indoor area to preserve the battery life and casing. Cleaning is straightforward: use a damp, lint-free cloth to wipe away dust or debris from the solar panel, as a clean panel is essential for efficient charging. Do not use abrasive chemicals or high-pressure water sprays. Because the lantern is IPX4 rated, it can survive light rain; however, it should not be left out during severe thunderstorms or winter snowstorms to prevent water ingress or cold-damage to the rechargeable battery.
