Product Information

Full details

The FloPlast FloGuard Gutter Guard is designed for homeowners and contractors looking to minimize gutter maintenance by preventing clogs caused by leaves, twigs, and moss. This clip-on grid system offers the significant benefit of maintaining free-flowing drainage without requiring complex tools or secondary hardware; however, it is specifically engineered for 112mm Half Round and 114mm Square gutters, meaning it will not fit oversized or non-standard profiles.

FAQs

Can this be used on Ogee gutters?

No, the FloGuard is specifically designed for 112mm Half Round and 114mm Square profile systems.

Do I need screws to install this?

No, the system is designed to clip securely under existing brackets without the need for screws or nails.

How do I cut the strips to size?

The material can be easily cut to fit using a standard fine-toothed hacksaw.

Does this prevent small pine needles from entering?

While the grid is effective against leaves and large twigs, very fine needles may pass through depending on the angle of the gutter.

What is the total coverage of this pack?

This pack contains 50 meters of gutter guard material.

Troubleshooting

Gutter guard is loose or rattling.

Ensure all clips are fully seated under the fascia bracket and check that the interlocking connections are snapped tight.

Water is overshooting the gutter during heavy rain.

Check if the gutter is blocked beneath the guard. If the debris is on top, clear it to ensure water can enter the mesh.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Simple, fast installation process
Prevents downpipe blockages
Durable, long-lasting construction
No secondary clips or fixings required

Cons

Limited to specific gutter profiles
Requires manual measurement before cutting
May require occasional surface cleaning of the grid itself

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To install, clear your gutters of existing debris before attachment. Slide the FloGuard strips into place by tucking the edges under the existing fascia brackets. If a run ends at a corner or end cap, simply cut the 500mm strip to size using a fine-toothed hacksaw or heavy-duty snips. Ensure the clips are snapped securely against the inner gutter wall to prevent shifting during high winds. Maintenance is minimal: once or twice a year, perform a visual inspection to remove any organic matter that has dried on top of the grid surface.
