This 2-way Stereo Loudspeaker Switch & Volume Control Unit allows you to place a splitter between an amplifier's output and two sets of stereo loudspeakers. The splitter features a volume control for one pair of speakers, with the amplifier acting as the master volume control. The volume dial on this unit can decrease the volume of one pair of speakers, but the maximum limit is set at the amplifier. Both pairs of speakers can be individually turned on or off using the switch, which has a maximum wattage rating of 60W RMS per channel. It is normal to notice a volume drop per speaker when more than one pair is switched on. The switches on the front allow either the main speakers or the remote speakers to be on. If both switches are set to 'off', the main speakers will turn on to prevent the amplifier from blowing. To turn off all speakers, the amplifier must also be turned off. The volume for the main speakers can be controlled by the amplifier; the volume controls on this switch allow pair 2 to be turned up or down.
