Hasselblad 25mm f2.5 XCD Lens

The 25mm focal length on the Hasselblad XCD system provides an equivalent field of view similar to a 20mm lens on a 35mm full-frame camera.

This lens is specifically designed for the Hasselblad X-system cameras with the XCD mount. Compatibility with older V-mount or H-mount systems is not supported without adapters, which may limit functionality.

The minimum focusing distance is 25cm (9.8 inches). This allows for close-up shots and working with subjects at a relatively short distance while maintaining a wide perspective.

The integrated leaf shutter allows for flash synchronization at all shutter speeds, up to the camera's maximum sync speed. This is beneficial for fill flash in bright conditions and for freezing motion with flash.

While it can be used for environmental portraits where the background is important, its very wide 20mm equivalent field of view may cause distortion at close focusing distances, which is not always flattering for traditional headshots.

The Hasselblad 25mm f2.5 XCD Lens itself does not feature optical image stabilization. Image stabilization, if available, is typically integrated into the camera body for X-system cameras.

Ensure the lens is securely mounted. Check for any debris on the lens mount and camera body contacts. Update camera firmware if available.

Ensure you are within the lens's focusing range. In very low light, autofocus may struggle; consider using manual focus. Clean the electronic contacts on both the lens and camera.

Verify that the lens is properly focused on the subject. Check aperture settings; very small apertures (high f-numbers) can lead to diffraction, reducing sharpness. Ensure the correct ISO and shutter speed are used for the shooting conditions.

Confirm that the leaf shutter function is enabled in the camera settings. Ensure the flash unit is properly connected and powered. Try shooting at different shutter speeds to test sync.
