No, the Zelah Oak Hallway Storage Bench comes fully assembled and is ready to use straight out of the packaging.

What type of wood is used?

The bench is manufactured from sustainably sourced American White Oak.

How should I clean the bench?

Troubleshooting

Bench feels unstable

Ensure the bench is placed on a level surface. Check that all parts of the bench are firmly in contact with the floor. As it's fully assembled, significant instability may indicate damage during transit; contact customer support.

Baskets do not fit properly

Gently try to adjust the position of the baskets within their compartments. Ensure no debris is obstructing their placement. The baskets are designed for a snug fit.

Wood finish appears dull

The waxed finish can dull over time. Clean the bench thoroughly with a dry cloth and then apply a suitable furniture wax following the product's instructions to restore its sheen.

For spills, wipe them up immediately with a dry cloth.
Protect the surface from excessive heat and direct sunlight, which can cause the wood to fade or warp over time.
Periodically re-waxing with a suitable furniture wax can help maintain the finish and protect the wood.
