Yes, the camera is designed for compatibility with cars, buses, and trucks. The 10m cable is suitable for most, but very long vehicles might require an extension.
The camera uses a 4-pin connector. You will need to connect this to a compatible 4-pin video input on your car stereo, monitor, or dashcam.
Installation involves mounting the camera, running the cable, and connecting it to your display. While generally straightforward, routing cables in vehicles can require some effort.
As long as your aftermarket stereo has a compatible 4-pin video input for a reverse camera, it should work. Please consult your stereo's manual for input specifications.
IP68 is a high level of protection, meaning the lens is dust-tight and protected against continuous immersion in water under the conditions specified by the manufacturer.
The cable features a 4-pin connector for the video signal and typically includes power wires. Ensure you connect the power wires to a suitable power source in your vehicle.
Verify all connections are secure, especially the 4-pin connector. Check that the camera is receiving power. Ensure the display unit is set to the correct input source.
Inspect the cable for damage or kinks. Ensure the 4-pin connector is clean and free from debris. Interference can sometimes be caused by nearby electronic devices; try repositioning the cable if possible.
Ensure the infrared LEDs are not obstructed. Clean the camera lens as dust or dirt can reduce effectiveness. Check that the camera is receiving sufficient power, as low power can impact LED performance.
Confirm the camera has an IP68 waterproof rating and the connector is securely fastened. If water ingress is suspected, disconnect and allow to dry thoroughly before retesting.
