Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your garment, wash the fabric at a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius. Avoid high-heat tumble drying, as this can break down the elastane fibers, leading to a loss of stretch over time.
Sewing Tips:
- Needles: Use a ballpoint or jersey needle to prevent skipped stitches and potential snags in the cotton fibers.
- Thread: Utilize a high-quality polyester thread to match the garment's stretch level.
- Cutting: Due to the rib construction, ensure your pattern pieces are aligned with the grainline; the fabric is sold by the meter in one continuous piece, allowing for flexible cutting layouts.
- Preparation: Pre-wash the fabric using the same method you intend to use for the finished garment to account for any initial shrinkage.
