Setup, Compatibility & Care
To achieve the best results with your GBC CombBind spines, follow these best practices:
- Check Compatibility: Ensure your binding machine is configured for 21-ring A4 comb binding. While most office machines are standard, always verify the slot alignment.
- Punching Precision: Always ensure your pages are properly aligned in the punch tray to prevent jagged edges that can make inserting the comb difficult.
- Insertion: Place the comb on the machine and open the teeth just enough to fit your document. Do not over-extend the teeth, as this can weaken the plastic memory of the spine.
- Storage: Store the unused combs in a cool, dry place. Keep them in their original packaging to prevent the plastic from becoming brittle or dusty.
- Maximum Capacity: Do not exceed the 330-sheet limit. If the pages feel overly tight, reduce the sheet count to ensure the pages turn smoothly.
