Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Unroll the rug carefully upon arrival. Allow it to lay flat for a few hours to settle. For added safety and to prevent slipping, consider using a non-slip rug pad underneath, especially on hard floors.
Compatibility: This rug is compatible with most indoor flooring types, including wood, tile, and laminate. It is not recommended for use in areas prone to excessive moisture or direct, prolonged sunlight which can fade natural fibers.
Care: To maintain the rug's appearance and longevity:
- Vacuum regularly: Use a vacuum cleaner without a beater bar on a low setting to remove surface dust and debris.
- Spot clean spills immediately: Blot spills with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid excessive rubbing. For tougher stains, use a mild detergent specifically designed for natural fibers and test on an inconspicuous area first.
- Shake out periodically: If possible, take the rug outside and shake it to dislodge dirt.
- Avoid harsh chemicals: Do not use bleach or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Rotate the rug: To ensure even wear, rotate the rug every few months.
