Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install the plug, ensure the engine is completely cool to prevent damage to the cylinder head threads. Use a spark plug socket to remove the old plug and carefully thread the new BPR6ES plug by hand to avoid cross-threading before tightening with a wrench. Always verify the manufacturer's recommended electrode gap for your specific Honda GX160 configuration, as gaps may need minor adjustment with a feeler gauge. Keep the ceramic insulator clean and free of oil or dirt to prevent misfiring, and replace the plug every 100 operating hours or at the start of every season for optimal engine health.
