FAQs

Is this TV suitable for full-time outdoor installation in all weather?

The TV has an IP55 rating, meaning it's protected against dust and low-pressure water jets. While it's durable for outdoor use, extreme weather conditions like heavy downpours or freezing temperatures may still pose a risk. For maximum longevity, consider protection during severe weather.

How bright is the screen compared to a standard indoor TV?

Can I mount this TV outdoors?

Yes, the TV is designed for outdoor use and comes with VESA mount compatibility, allowing for secure installation on outdoor-rated mounts.

What is the warranty period for this product?

The Sylvox OT65B1K4GC comes with a 2-year guarantee.

Does it have built-in speakers?

Yes, it features dual 10W speakers for an integrated audio solution.

What connections are available?

The TV includes HDMI and USB ports for connecting external devices, along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for wireless connectivity.

Troubleshooting

TV will not power on

Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the TV and a working electrical outlet. Check if the remote control has fresh batteries.

No picture or sound

Verify that the correct input source is selected. Check all cable connections. Restart the TV and any connected devices.

App loading slowly or not working

Ensure your Wi-Fi connection is stable and strong. Try restarting your router and the TV. Check for software updates for the TV and the specific app.

Screen is dim or colors are off

Adjust the picture settings (brightness, contrast, color) via the TV's menu. Ensure ambient light sensors, if applicable, are not obstructed.

Remote control is unresponsive

Replace the batteries in the remote. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the TV's sensor. Try re-pairing the remote if it's a Bluetooth model.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Mounting: Determine your preferred mounting solution. Use the VESA compatibility (400mm x 400mm is standard for this size, confirm with manual) to attach it to a wall mount or stand.
  2. Connections: Connect your power source. Plug in any external devices like gaming consoles or soundbars via the HDMI or USB ports.
  3. Network: Connect to your Wi-Fi network through the Google TV settings for smart features and app access.
  4. Tuning: If using over-the-air broadcasts, run the digital tuner setup to find available channels.

Compatibility:

  • USB Ports: For media playback from external drives or firmware updates.
  • Bluetooth: Pairs with wireless headphones, speakers, or keyboards.
  • Wi-Fi: Connects to standard 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless networks.

Care:

  • Cleaning the Screen: Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Never spray liquid directly onto the screen.
  • Weather Protection: While weatherproof, it is recommended to protect the TV from extreme weather conditions (e.g., heavy rain, snow, direct salt spray) to prolong its lifespan.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate airflow around the unit, especially if enclosed in a cabinet, to prevent overheating.
