Product Information
Full details
The vidaXL Dog Kennel is a versatile outdoor enclosure designed for pet owners who need a secure and durable space for their dogs to play, exercise, or rest. It serves as an ideal solution for keeping pets safe and contained in an outdoor environment while providing ample ventilation, though users should be aware that it requires a flat, stable surface for assembly and may not provide shelter from extreme weather conditions on its own.

FAQs
Is the dog kennel waterproof?
The structure itself is weather-resistant due to the powder coating, but it does not have a roof and will not keep your dog dry during rain.
Can I connect multiple kennels together?
Yes, if the dimensions align, the panels are generally modular and can be expanded depending on your layout.
Does it need to be anchored to the ground?
While the kennel is heavy, it is highly recommended to anchor it to the ground if your dog is large or prone to pushing against the walls.
What tools are needed for assembly?
Basic assembly tools like a screwdriver and an adjustable wrench are typically required.
Can this be used indoors?
While intended for outdoors, it can be used indoors provided you have the space and a non-slip floor surface.
Troubleshooting
Door latch is sticking
Apply a silicone-based lubricant to the hinges and latch mechanism to ensure smooth operation.
Kennel frame feels unstable
Ensure all bolts are tightened firmly and verify that the kennel is sitting on a perfectly level surface.
Rust spots appearing
Clean the affected area with a wire brush, wipe clean, and apply outdoor-grade metal paint.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Durable powder-coated steel prevents rust and damage
- Lockable door ensures pet security
- Easy to clean and maintain
- Open design promotes excellent air circulation
Cons
- No integrated roof for overhead weather protection
- Requires significant assembly time
- Heavy weight makes it difficult to relocate frequently
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Assembly requires a flat surface and basic hand tools. It is recommended to assemble the panels in the final location to avoid moving the heavy frame once connected. Compatibility depends on the size of your dog; ensure the kennel dimensions allow your pet to stand and turn around comfortably. To maintain the unit, periodically check the locking latch and hinges for tightness. If you notice any chips in the powder-coated finish, touch them up with rust-inhibiting paint to prevent corrosion from spreading due to rain or humidity.
