Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Ensure a firm, level, and well-compacted sub-base is prepared before laying. The Keykerb units should be bedded onto a mortar mix (typically 4:1 sand to cement) to ensure stability. Place the units firmly into the mortar, ensuring they are level with each other and aligned with the adjacent paving. For external angles, position one unit against the edge of the paving and the adjacent unit at a 90-degree angle, ensuring a flush fit at the corner.
Compatibility: This specific bullnosed external angle unit is designed to complement Marshalls Keyblok block paving. While it can be used with other paving types, perfect alignment and aesthetic integration may be compromised. It is intended for use as part of the broader Marshalls Keykerb system, which includes various shapes for different configurations.
Care: Clean the kerbs with water and a stiff brush to remove dirt and debris. For stubborn stains, a mild detergent can be used, followed by thorough rinsing. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the surface. Periodically check the stability of the kerbs and the surrounding mortar; re-pointing or re-bedding may be necessary over time to maintain structural integrity.
