Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
As laceless boots, the setup primarily involves ensuring the correct fit.
- Sizing: Refer to the adidas sizing guide to ensure you select the appropriate UK Kids size. Since these are laceless, an accurate size is crucial for a secure fit.
- First Wear: Gently stretch the boot opening and slide your foot in. The HybridFeel upper is designed to mold to your foot over a few wears. Walk around in them to ensure there are no pressure points.
- Break-in: While HybridFeel is flexible, a short break-in period during light training sessions is recommended before competitive matches to fully adapt to the laceless fit and the boot's responsiveness.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for:
- Surfaces: Firm Natural Grass (FG) and Artificial Grass (MG) pitches. The soleplate provides optimal traction on both.
- Age Group: Kids/Juniors, as indicated by the product variants. They are not intended for adult use.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: After every session, gently tap the boots together to remove loose dirt and grass from the studs.
- Wipe Down: Use a damp cloth to wipe the entire upper (HybridFeel and Strikescale elements). Avoid harsh brushes that could damage the synthetic material or grip elements.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or use artificial heat sources (like radiators or hairdryers), as this can cause the materials to crack or stiffen.
- Storage: Store them in a cool, dry place, ideally with newspaper stuffed inside to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape.
- Avoid Submerging: Do not machine wash or submerge the boots in water for extended periods, as this can degrade the materials and adhesives.
