Product Information

Full details

The MAC Lustreglass Sheer-Shine Lipstick is designed for beauty enthusiasts who desire a perfect balance between vibrant color and deep hydration. It provides a luminous, glossy finish that nourishes the lips with a unique blend of botanical oils and butters, making it ideal for daily wear. While its buildable formula allows for versatile coverage, those seeking an ultra-matte, transfer-proof finish may find its sheer, emollient texture less suitable for long-wear needs.

FAQs

Is this lipstick sticky?

No, the formula is designed to be smooth and comfortable without the tackiness of a traditional lip gloss.

Can I wear this over a lip liner?

Absolutely; using a lip liner underneath can help define the edges and increase the longevity of the color.

How often should I reapply?

Due to its hydrating, sheer nature, you may want to reapply after eating or drinking to maintain the high-shine finish.

Is this product fragrance-free?

The formula features a subtle, classic scent synonymous with MAC lip products, though it is not heavily fragranced.

Does it contain SPF?

This product does not contain SPF; it is formulated specifically for color and hydration.

Troubleshooting

Lipstick feels too soft in hot weather

Place the product in a cool area for 15-20 minutes to allow the oils to firm up before use.

Color is not opaque enough

Layer the lipstick in thin, even coats until you achieve your desired level of saturation.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Deeply hydrating ingredients
Lightweight, comfortable feel on lips
Customizable coverage from sheer to bold
Provides an attractive high-shine finish

Cons

Not a long-wear or transfer-proof formula
Requires more frequent reapplication
High-shine finish may be too glossy for those preferring matte styles

Setup, Compatibility & Care

No specialized setup is required; the lipstick is ready for immediate use. To maintain the integrity of the formula, store the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as high heat can alter the consistency of the botanical oils. For best results, ensure your lips are exfoliated before application if you have dry skin patches, although the moisturizing ingredients are designed to smooth over most textures. To clean the bullet, simply wipe the outer casing with a soft, dry cloth; do not submerge the lipstick in water or liquid cleaners.
