FAQs

What are the exact external dimensions of the Vidalux SS78 Hydro Shower Cabin?

The external dimensions are 800mm wide by 800mm deep. The height will depend on the specific model variant, but typically around 1900-2000mm.

Does the shower cabin require tiling or grouting?

No, the Vidalux SS78 Hydro Shower Cabin is designed with solid, non-see-through back panels, eliminating the need for additional decoration, tiling, or grouting on the back walls.

How is the shower cabin guaranteed to be leak-free?

It features Vidalux's unique 'Leak-Seal' technology, which uses innovative compression seals, a tray retaining lip, and return channels to redirect any potential leaks back inside, ensuring no water spillage.

Can I install this shower cabin myself?

Yes, the 'Quick Build' design is intended for DIY installation, often completed in about an hour. However, comprehensive installation guides are provided, and professional installation is always an option if preferred.

What is included with the shower cabin?

The cabin includes the reinforced acrylic base on a steel frame, safety glass panels, integrated mixer shower valve, hand shower with riser rail, six massage jets, monsoon rain shower, storage shelf, fast-flow waste, and flexible waste pipe.

What is the warranty period?

Is a freestanding stool included?

A freestanding stool is an optional enhancement and is not included as standard with the shower cabin. It can be purchased separately.

How do I clean the quick-release door wheels?

To clean the quick-release door wheels, engage the quick-release mechanism on the wheels themselves. This allows the doors to be detached for thorough cleaning of the wheels and the door tracks.

Troubleshooting

Shower cabin is leaking

Verify that all compression seals are correctly seated and tightened. Ensure the tray retaining lip and return channels are clear of debris. Check that the waste pipe connection is secure and properly sealed.

Water pressure is low

Check the main water supply valves are fully open. Inspect the shower head, hand shower, and massage jets for any blockages or limescale buildup. Clean the filters if accessible.

Doors are difficult to slide

Ensure the door wheels are clean and free from debris. Check that the cabin is level and the doors are hanging correctly. The quick-release mechanism may need to be engaged to allow for deeper cleaning of the tracks.

Mixer valve is not controlling temperature properly

Confirm correct hot and cold water supply connections. If issues persist, contact Vidalux technical support as the valve may require adjustment or service.
