FAQs

What material is the dress made from?

The dress is crafted from high-quality, durable cotton.

Is the dress machine washable?

Due to the intricate 'Pulling' draping technique, professional dry cleaning is highly recommended to maintain the garment's shape.

What does the 'Pulling' technique refer to?

It is an innovative Vivienne Westwood draping method that gathers and sculpts the fabric to create volume and unique structural silhouettes.

How should I store this dress?

It is best stored on a high-quality hanger within a breathable garment bag to keep the fabric from being crushed.

Does the dress have a closure mechanism?

The design features a buttoned collar detail, while the dress maintains a structured fit through its specific draping.

Troubleshooting

Visible wrinkles in the ruched areas

Use a light hand-held steamer from a distance, avoiding direct contact with the fabric to prevent flattening the carefully sculpted drapes.

Fabric appearing loose after wear

Carefully re-adjust the gathers by hand to realign the fabric along the original structural lines; a professional pressing may be required if the draping loses significant volume.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Sophisticated architectural silhouette
High-quality, breathable cotton material
Unique design derived from brand heritage
Flattering midi length with elegant movement

Cons

Requires professional or careful cleaning to protect ruching
The structured fit may be less forgiving than standard jersey dresses
Limited stretch due to the complex draping construction

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of the garment, handle the fabric carefully when dressing to avoid snagging the delicate folds. As this item is crafted from high-quality cotton, it is recommended to follow the care label instructions strictly. Generally, dry cleaning is advised to maintain the structural integrity of the 'Pulling' draping method. When storing, hang the dress in a garment bag to prevent the ruching from becoming crushed by other items in your wardrobe.
