Setup, Compatibility & Care
To begin, select the appropriate drill bushing for your dowel size and secure it into the jig using the provided hex wrenches. Position the jig against the edge of the wood, align the laser-etched scale to your reference mark, and tighten the built-in clamp until the jig is immobile. Always verify the alignment by dry-fitting the dowels before applying glue. For maintenance, clean the drill bushings after each session to prevent sawdust buildup, which can interfere with the bit's rotation. Periodically wipe the aluminum body with a dry cloth to prevent oxidation and keep the clamping threads lubricated with a light machine oil for smooth operation.
