Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Setting the Time: Gently pull out the crown (the small knob on the side of the watch case) to the furthest position. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise until the hands indicate the correct time. Push the crown back in completely to start the watch.
- Setting the Day/Date: Pull the crown out to the first position (halfway). Turn the crown in one direction to adjust the date and in the other direction to adjust the day. If adjusting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, it is best to set it to the previous day and then advance the time to avoid potential mechanism issues. Once set, push the crown back in completely.
- Bracelet Resizing: The stainless steel bracelet may need to be adjusted to fit your wrist comfortably. This typically involves removing links. We recommend having this done by a professional jeweler or watch repair service to avoid damage.
Compatibility
This watch is designed for general adult wear. Its classic style makes it suitable for most personal fashion preferences and occasions.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: To clean your watch, wipe the case and bracelet gently with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, which can damage the finish.
- Water Resistance: Remember the 50-meter water resistance limit. While it can handle splashes and brief immersion, do not operate the crown underwater. Always ensure the crown is pushed in completely after setting the time/date to maintain water resistance.
- Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Do not expose your watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes, as this can affect the accuracy of the quartz movement and the integrity of the seals.
- Storage: When not wearing your watch, store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight and strong magnetic fields, which can affect timekeeping accuracy.
- Battery Replacement: The quartz movement is powered by a battery. When the watch stops, it's time for a battery replacement. We recommend having this done by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper battery type and seal integrity for water resistance.
