Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before installation, ensure the engine is completely cool to avoid thermal expansion issues. Remove the old bolts using the appropriate hex key, then thoroughly clean the threaded holes on the clutch assembly to remove any debris or old thread locker. Insert the new bolts by hand to ensure they start straight, then tighten them in a cross-pattern to distribute clamping force evenly across the clutch bell. Do not use high-torque power tools as these can strip the aluminum threads commonly found in small engine blocks. Regularly check these bolts during your pre-ride inspection to ensure they remain snug.
