Product Information
Full details
The Parker Baits Chilli Hemp Jar is designed for serious carp anglers looking to maximize swim attraction without the hassle of home preparation. By combining the natural, crunchy appeal of traditional hemp with a spicy chilli kick, this bait keeps fish foraging in your swim for extended periods. While it offers excellent shelf-life convenience for spontaneous sessions, its effectiveness is best realized when used as part of a varied spod mix rather than as a standalone bait.

FAQs
Do I need to soak this hemp before use?
No, the hemp is ready-to-use straight from the jar.
How should I store the jars?
Keep them in a cool, dark, and dry place. Ensure the lid is tightened fully after every use.
Is this product suitable for long sessions?
Yes, as it is shelf-stable, it is perfect for long sessions, though you should keep opened jars out of direct heat.
Can I mix this with other particles?
Absolutely. It is highly recommended to mix it with maize, tiger nuts, or boilies for a more complex spod mix.
Will the chilli content harm the fish?
No, the chilli is used as an attractant and is safe for carp in the quantities provided.
Troubleshooting
Bait seems dry or clumped
Add a small amount of lake water or liquid additive to the jar to help distribute the seeds more effectively.
Not attracting fish
Ensure you are using 'little and often' feeding techniques; sometimes a large amount of bait can spook fish or mask your hookbait.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Ready to use straight from the jar
- Spicy chilli additive increases fish interest
- Perfect for keeping carp active in a swim
- Hand-prepared for high quality
- Excellent for clearing weed or soft lakebeds
Cons
- Requires additional spod mix components for best results
- Not a selective bait for larger specimens
- Heavier than dry hemp to carry to the bank
Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Compatibility: The hemp pairs perfectly with most fishmeal or nut-based boilies. It also works exceptionally well with heavy liquid attractors that can coat the seeds for added scent trails.
- Care: Keep the jar sealed when not in use to maintain the moisture content of the seeds. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to ensure the natural preservation remains effective until the end of its shelf life.
- Application: Use a standard baiting spoon or a spod for accurate delivery over your chosen marker float.
