FAQs

What is the capacity of the pots in the set?

The set includes a cooking pot with a 16 cm diameter and another with a 20 cm diameter. Specific capacities (liters) are not provided but can be inferred from standard sizing.

Can I use the handle in the oven?

No, the removable handle is not oven-safe. The pots themselves are oven-safe up to 200 °C, but only when the handle is detached.

How do I clean the removable handle?

Wipe the handle clean with a damp cloth. Ensure the locking mechanism is free of debris. Do not submerge the handle in water or place it in the dishwasher.

Are the Fresh & Save vacuum lids included?

No, the ZWILLING Fresh & Save vacuum lids are sold separately. They are compatible with the ZWILLING Unlock pots for extended food storage.

What material are the pots made of?

The pots are made of high-quality 18/10 stainless steel with an aluminum core for the 3-ply construction.

How much weight can the removable handle support?

The removable handle is designed to support a load capacity of up to 10 kg.

Can I use the pots on a glass-ceramic cooktop?

Yes, the ZWILLING Unlock pot set is suitable for all types of cooktops, including glass-ceramic.

Troubleshooting

Handle does not attach or detach smoothly.

Ensure the pot rim and the handle's locking mechanism are clean and free of food particles or debris. Check for any obstructions. Gently align the handle with the pot's attachment point before applying pressure.

Food is sticking or burning.

Preheat the pot adequately before adding oil or food. Ensure the heat level is appropriate for the type of food being cooked. The 3-ply construction distributes heat evenly, but high heat can still cause sticking if not managed.

Pots are not heating evenly.

Confirm the pot is centered on the stovetop burner. Ensure the stovetop itself is functioning correctly. The 3-ply core is designed for even heating; issues may stem from the heat source.

Glass lid is cracked or chipped.

Handle glass lids with care. Avoid extreme temperature changes (e.g., placing a hot lid on a cold surface). If damaged, replace the lid immediately for safety.

Pros and Cons

Versatile cooking experience with even heat distribution and induction compatibility.
Convenient one-handle system simplifies cooking, serving, and storage.
Durable construction with high-quality stainless steel.
Extends food freshness when used with compatible vacuum lids.

Cons

Requires purchasing separate Fresh & Save vacuum lids for full storage benefits.
The removable handle, while secure, adds an extra step during use.
Glass lids are oven-safe only without the handle attached.
The set includes only two pots and lids, which might be limiting for some meal preparations.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The removable handle is designed to click securely into place on any of the ZWILLING Unlock pots. Ensure it is firmly attached before placing the pot on a heat source. To detach, simply operate the release mechanism as indicated. The silicone clip on the handle should be used to protect surfaces when the handle is detached.

Compatibility: This pot set is suitable for all types of stovetops, including gas, electric, halogen, ceramic, and induction. The glass lids are oven-safe up to 200 °C. For vacuum sealing, the pots are compatible with ZWILLING Fresh & Save vacuum lids (sold separately).

Care: The stainless steel pots and glass lids are dishwasher-safe. However, for optimal longevity and to maintain the finish, hand washing is recommended. Ensure the handle mechanism is clean and free of debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could scratch the stainless steel surface.
