Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before beginning, ensure your staircase landing configuration matches the 180-degree half-turn design. You will need a fine-toothed hacksaw for resizing the rails, a tape measure, a spirit level, and the appropriate wall fixings for your specific substrate (e.g., masonry or timber stud).
- Measure the landing and straight runs accurately, accounting for the depth of the elbows.
- Cut the rails to size using the hacksaw, filing the edges smooth to ensure they sit flush within the connectors.
- Test fit the elbows and rails before final securing to ensure the pitch is correct.
- Install using the recommended mounting brackets.
For care, simply wipe down the handrail with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the matt black coating over time.
