The PROXXON Hot wire cutter THERMOCUT 650 is designed for cutting Styrofoam, hard foam, polyurethane, PU foam, and thermoplastic materials. It is ideal for architects, artists, prototype construction, insulation work, and model building. The cutter features an adjustable telescopic arm for cutting lengths between 400 and 650mm and a 200mm throat depth. The cutting wire temperature is adjustable via a rotary knob and maintained electronically constant. It produces smooth edges without crumbling. A spring device in the support bracket ensures constant wire tension. The device can also be used as a stationary cutter when inverted and clamped to a tabletop, freeing both hands to manipulate the workpiece. The unit comes with a 30m spool of 0.2mm diameter cutting wire and a tabletop screw clamp. It also includes an adjustable guide for optimal utilization of the saw blade and effective dust protection.
