This seat is designed for D-shaped toilet bowls. Please check the dimensions and shape against your existing toilet.
Typically, there are buttons or levers on the hinge mechanism that you press or slide to release the seat from its mounting posts. Refer to the product's installation guide for specific instructions.
A soft-close seat prevents the lid and seat from slamming shut, which reduces noise, prevents damage to the seat and toilet, and enhances safety.
For regular cleaning, use a soft, damp cloth with a mild detergent. For a deeper clean, utilize the quick-release function to detach the seat and clean it separately.
The Nuie D Shape Soft Close Toilet Seat comes with a 1-year guarantee against faulty workmanship or materials.
It is not recommended to use harsh chemicals like bleach, as they can potentially damage the gloss finish over time. Mild, non-abrasive cleaners are preferred.
Top Fix means the seat is installed from the top of the toilet bowl. The fixings are secured through holes in the pan from above, which can be simpler in some installations compared to bottom-fix systems.
Check that the hinges are correctly installed and that there is no obstruction preventing the soft-close mechanism from engaging fully. Ensure screws are tightened appropriately but not overtightened.
Clean the mechanism thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any debris. Check for any foreign objects caught in the hinge area. Ensure the seat is properly aligned before attempting to release.
Re-tighten the top-fix bolts carefully. Ensure the seat is correctly positioned on the toilet bowl before tightening to prevent movement.
Avoid using abrasive cleaners or materials. Clean with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. For minor scuffs, a plastic polish designed for automotive use might help restore the shine, but test in an inconspicuous area first.
Setup: Ensure your toilet bowl is D-shaped and compatible with the dimensions (H:40 x W:370 x L:450mm). When installing, take extra care to avoid damaging the fittings. The top-fix mechanism means you will likely tighten the bolts from above the pan. Refer to the manufacturer's diagram for precise fitting instructions.
Compatibility: This seat is designed specifically for D-shaped toilet bowls. It is not compatible with round or square-shaped toilets.
Care: Clean the seat regularly using a damp cloth and mild, non-abrasive cleaner. For deep cleaning, utilize the quick-release feature to detach the seat. Ensure all parts are dry before reattaching. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive scouring pads, as these can damage the gloss finish.
