Zylkene by Vetoquinol is designed for cat and dog owners seeking a natural, science-backed solution to help their pets manage stress during challenging events like travel, thunderstorms, or household changes. By utilizing a bioactive milk protein derivative, it promotes relaxation without sedation, making it an excellent choice for pets that need help staying calm; however, owners should note that results can vary based on the individual pet's temperament and the intensity of the stressor.

No, Zylkene is a natural supplement derived from a milk protein.
While some pets show signs of relaxation quickly, it is generally recommended to start 1-2 days before a planned event for best results.
Yes, Zylkene is formulated to be safe for both short-term situational use and long-term daily support.
No, Zylkene is non-sedating, so your pet will remain alert and active.
Zylkene is generally safe for all life stages, but you should always confirm the dosage with your veterinarian for very young animals.
Since Zylkene is derived from milk protein, you should consult your veterinarian before use if your pet has a known dairy allergy.
Try mixing the powder into a small "meatball" of wet food or a high-value treat to mask the presence of the supplement.
Consider starting the supplement a few days earlier or consult your veterinarian to discuss if a dosage adjustment or behavioral training is also required.
To begin using Zylkene, determine the correct dosage for your pet's weight as indicated on the product packaging. To administer, pull the two halves of the capsule apart and sprinkle the fine powder over the top of your pet's regular wet or dry food. If using dry food, you may add a small amount of water or a pet-safe topping to help the powder adhere to the kibble. Store the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain the potency of the ingredients. Always consult with your veterinarian before introducing any new supplement into your pet's diet, especially if they are currently on prescription medications or have existing dietary sensitivities.
