FAQs

Why does my printer say the ink is low when I just installed it?

As this is a refilled cartridge, the ink level chip is not reset. You can safely ignore this alert and continue printing.

Is this cartridge compatible with all HP printers?

It is compatible with many HP DeskJet and ENVY printers that use the 308 series ink. Please verify your specific printer model matches the 308 requirement.

Can I print high-quality professional photos with this?

While it provides good colour for casual use, it is designed primarily for documents and home/school projects rather than professional-grade photo printing.

What should I do if the colours look faded?

Perform a printhead cleaning cycle via your printer software. If the issue persists, ensure you are using the correct paper settings for the document type.

How many millilitres of ink does this cartridge hold?

Each Ink Jungle 308 Colour cartridge contains 3ml of ink.

Troubleshooting

Printer displays 'Low Ink' or 'Cartridge Error' message

This is normal for refilled cartridges. Press 'OK', 'Continue', or 'Resume' on your printer screen or computer prompt to bypass the warning and resume printing.

Streaks or missing colours on the printed page

Run the 'Clean Printheads' utility through your printer's software settings to clear any dried ink or air bubbles from the nozzles.

Printer does not recognize the cartridge

Remove the cartridge, gently wipe the gold contact points with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure they are clean, and re-insert firmly.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Significantly lower cost than original HP cartridges
  • Reliable print quality for everyday documents and school projects
  • Wide compatibility with popular HP DeskJet and ENVY series printers
  • Sustainable choice by reusing existing cartridge chassis

Cons

  • Printer will show 'Low Ink' or 'Empty' warnings
  • Not intended for high-volume professional-grade photo printing
  • May require manual confirmation to bypass cartridge status alerts

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation follows the same procedure as a standard cartridge: open the printer access door, remove the empty unit, and insert the Ink Jungle 308 until it clicks into place. This cartridge is compatible with various HP DeskJet and HP ENVY printers that utilize the standard 308 colour configuration. To maintain optimal performance, it is recommended to run a printer head cleaning cycle if you experience streaks after the initial installation. Ensure the cartridge is stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in the printer to prevent the nozzles from drying out over extended periods of inactivity.
