FAQs

Can I put the monkey in the washing machine?

It is not recommended to machine wash the keyring, as it may damage the fur and the attachment hardware. Stick to gentle spot cleaning.

Is this suitable for children?

While it is a toy-like accessory, it contains small parts and metal components, so it is best kept away from very young children.

Does the red color fade?

The material is colorfast under normal conditions, but like all textiles, prolonged direct exposure to intense sunlight may cause minor fading over several years.

Can I remove the letter accessory?

The letter is integrated into the monkey's design and is not intended to be detached or removed.

What material is the monkey made of?

The monkey is made from high-quality, durable synthetic plush fibers consistent with standard Kipling merchandise.

Troubleshooting

The keyring clip feels stiff

Apply a tiny drop of silicone lubricant to the hinge of the clip and work it back and forth a few times.

The fur looks matted or dusty

Use a clean, soft-bristled brush to gently comb the fur, or use a can of compressed air to remove accumulated lint.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Adorable and unique romantic design
High-quality, soft fur material
Easy to attach to most bag zippers or key rings
Adds instant personality to plain handbags or backpacks

Cons

Light-colored or plush materials may show dirt over time
Not intended for heavy-duty load-bearing key storage
The plush texture requires occasional cleaning

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up the keyring is straightforward: simply open the split ring or the integrated lobster-style clip and thread it through the desired attachment point on your bag or key set. It is compatible with virtually all standard bag hardware, including D-rings, zipper pulls, and side loops. To maintain the appearance of the keyring, spot-clean the plush monkey with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap if needed. Avoid submerging the item in water, as this may affect the integrity of the internal stuffing. Allow it to air dry completely away from direct heat sources to keep the fur soft and fluffy.
