FAQs
What is the weight of the GoodHome Praden Parasol Base?
The GoodHome Praden Parasol Base weighs 35kg.
What is the maximum parasol size this base can support?
This base supports parasols up to 4 meters in width.
What type of parasol setup is this base best for?
It is specifically designed for overhanging parasol base setups, common with cantilever or offset parasols.
What material is the parasol base made from?
It is made from durable, weather-resistant recycled plastic.
How do I clean the parasol base?
You can clean it with a damp cloth. For tougher dirt, use a mild soap solution and rinse well.
Can this base be used with a standard, non-overhanging parasol?
While it will provide stability, it is optimized for overhanging designs where the weight distribution is different. For standard parasols, a centrally-weighted base might be more suitable.
Is the colour 'Dark Shadow Grey' a standard grey?
Yes, it is a deep, neutral grey that is designed to blend well with outdoor environments.
Troubleshooting
Parasol still feels wobbly.
Ensure the parasol pole is correctly and tightly secured within the base. Check that the base is on a perfectly level surface. Consider adding extra weight if you frequently experience very high winds and have a parasol at the maximum supported size.
Base is difficult to move.
Due to its weight, the base is designed to be stationary once placed. For initial positioning, it may be easier with two people or by tilting and dragging it carefully on a smooth surface. Avoid dragging on rough surfaces which could cause damage.
Colour fading over time.
While the material is weather-resistant, prolonged intense sun exposure can cause some fading. This is normal wear and tear for outdoor products. Regular cleaning can help maintain its appearance.
