Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility: The Continental UltraContact NXT is designed as a summer tire and is compatible with a wide range of passenger cars and electric vehicles. Ensure you select the correct size, load index, and speed rating that matches your vehicle's specifications, as indicated in your owner's manual or on the tire placard located on the driver's side doorjamb.
Installation: Installation should always be performed by a qualified tire professional to ensure proper mounting, balancing, and alignment. Incorrect installation can affect performance, safety, and tire life.
Care: To maximize the lifespan and performance of your UltraContact NXT tires:
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check tire pressure and inspect for any signs of wear, damage, or embedded objects.
- Maintain Proper Inflation: Keep tires inflated to the recommended pressure specified by your vehicle manufacturer. Under or over-inflation can lead to uneven wear and reduced efficiency.
- Rotation: Rotate your tires at recommended intervals (typically every 6,000-8,000 miles) to promote even tread wear.
- Wheel Alignment: Ensure your vehicle's wheel alignment is checked regularly, especially after hitting a pothole or curb, to prevent premature or uneven tire wear.
