Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Potting Mix Setup:
- Gently remove your bonsai from its old pot.
- Remove excess old soil from the roots, being careful not to damage them.
- Place a small amount of Westland Bonsai Potting Mix into the new pot.
- Position the bonsai in the new pot and fill the remaining space with the potting mix, ensuring it is firm but not compacted.
- Water thoroughly after repotting.
Feed Concentrate Usage:
- Remove the cap from the Westland Cacti & Succulent Feed Concentrate bottle.
- Hold the bottle upright.
- Gently squeeze the bottle to fill the integrated dosing chamber to the 5ml mark.
- Any excess feed will be removed as you release the pressure, leaving exactly 5ml in the chamber.
- Add the 5ml dose to 1 liter of water and mix well.
- Feed every second watering during the growing season (spring and summer).
- Reduce feeding frequency during the autumn and winter months.
Compatibility:
The potting mix is suitable for most indoor bonsai and houseplants. The feed concentrate is specifically formulated for cacti and succulents, including bonsai varieties of these plants. Always check the specific needs of your plant species.
Care:
- Potting Mix: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure the bag is sealed after opening to maintain freshness and prevent drying out.
- Feed Concentrate: Store the bottle upright in a cool, frost-free place. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
