Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Preparation: Clean the pipe and fitting surfaces thoroughly. Remove any dirt, grease, or oxidation. Use a wire brush or emery cloth to ensure a clean surface.
- Application: Apply a thin, even layer of LA-CO Soldering Flux Paste to both the pipe end and the inside of the fitting.
- Assembly: Insert the pipe into the fitting, ensuring a proper fit.
- Heating & Soldering: Apply heat to the fitting with a torch, and then apply solder to the joint. The flux will help the solder flow and adhere.
- Cooling & Cleaning: Allow the joint to cool completely. Wipe away any excess flux with a damp cloth.
Compatibility: This flux is compatible with copper, brass, galvanized iron, lead, zinc, tin, silver, nickel, mild steel, terne plate, and malleable iron. It is not suitable for Stainless Steel or Aluminium.
Care: Store the flux in a cool, dry place. Ensure the container is tightly sealed to prevent drying out.
