Setup, Compatibility & Care
This climbing rose is supplied as an established plant in a 4-litre pot, ready for planting. Choose a location that receives at least six hours of sunlight per day. Ensure the soil is well-draining. Dig a hole twice the width of the pot and the same depth. Incorporate compost into the soil before planting. Water thoroughly after planting. For climbing roses, it is essential to provide support such as a trellis, wires, or a wall. Train the main stems onto the support as they grow. Regular watering, especially during dry spells, is crucial. Feed your rose with a balanced fertilizer in spring and again in mid-summer. Pruning should be done in late winter or early spring to remove dead or weak wood and to shape the plant. Deadhead spent blooms during the flowering season to encourage further flowering.
