Full details
The Litter Genie Platinum Litter Box is an ideal solution for cat owners who prioritize both home aesthetics and ease of maintenance, offering a durable, odor-resistant base that blends seamlessly into modern living spaces. FAQs
Is the Litter Genie Platinum safe for all cat sizes?

Can I use any type of cat litter?

How often should I deep clean the box?
It is recommended to deep clean the box with mild soap and water once every two to four weeks, depending on your cat's usage.
Does the box come with a scoop?
The product description focuses on the litter box unit; please check your specific packaging for included accessories.
Is the material safe for my pet?
Yes, the box is made from durable, pet-safe materials designed to withstand regular feline use.
Troubleshooting
The litter box slides on my floor.
Ensure the four non-slip rubber pads are clean and free of dust, as debris can reduce their grip on smooth surfaces.
Residual odors persist after cleaning.
Ensure you are using a mild, non-scented soap. Strong detergents or harsh chemicals can trap odors rather than neutralizing them.
Litter is being tracked outside the box.
Place a high-quality litter mat directly outside the entrance to catch granules from your cat's paws.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Durable, easy-to-clean construction
- Non-slip pads keep the box securely in place
- Odor-resistant base material improves home hygiene
- Rounded internal corners simplify daily maintenance
- Open design reduces anxiety for cats who prefer visibility
Cons
- Open-top design does not contain scattered litter as well as hooded models
- Not suitable for cats that prefer complete privacy
- Requires frequent scooping as it does not have an automatic waste management system
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting up the Litter Genie Platinum is straightforward: simply place the unit on a flat, level surface where the rubber pads can make full contact with the floor. The box is compatible with most standard clumping cat litters. To maintain the box, perform daily scooping to remove waste. For deep cleaning, remove all litter and wash the base using warm water and a mild, unscented soap. Avoid using abrasive scrubbing pads, as these can scratch the odor-resistant surface and create grooves where bacteria could potentially collect. Always allow the box to air dry completely before refilling with fresh litter.
