FAQs

How does the EOBD connection work?

The EOBD connection plugs directly into the diagnostic port of your vehicle, allowing the charger to maintain the battery without direct terminal connections.

Can I leave the charger connected permanently?

Yes, the charger is designed to maintain the battery charge and can be left connected permanently, provided the panel is exposed to sunlight.

What happens if it rains?

The charger is weatherproof, but charging effectiveness will be reduced in cloudy or rainy conditions.

Is the charger suitable for all car batteries?

Yes, it is designed for use with standard 12V car and caravan batteries.

How do I clean the solar panel?

Wipe the panel with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

What if my car is parked in the shade?

The charger will not work effectively if the solar panel does not receive direct sunlight. Consider moving your vehicle or the panel to a sunnier location.

Does this charger overcharge the battery?

No, the charger is designed to provide a trickle charge and will not overcharge the battery.

Confirm that your vehicle is compatible with EOBD connections and check for any blown fuses.
