The Yellow Door Ladybug Counting Stones are an ideal educational resource for early years educators and parents looking to build foundational mathematical skills through tactile, engaging play. These durable stones help children master counting, subitising, and basic arithmetic in a hands-on way, though they are best suited for structured learning environments where adult supervision can guide the mathematical exploration.

These are designed for early learners, but please be aware they are small objects that may present a choking hazard for children under 3 years of age.
Yes, they are weatherproof, though storing them indoors will keep them cleaner and extend their lifespan.
The set includes 22 stones in total.
Yes, because the set includes two of every number from 0 to 10, they are excellent for demonstrating pairs and odd/even distribution.
Start by identifying the numbers on the ladybugs, then move to counting physical objects alongside the corresponding stone.
While they are very durable, it is recommended to wash them by hand to preserve the paint finish.
Wash with mild soap and water, then buff with a soft cloth to restore the shine.
The set contains two of each number, so you can still complete many equations even if one stone is misplaced.
No assembly is required for the Yellow Door Ladybug Counting Stones. To maintain their longevity, rinse them with warm, soapy water if they become soiled during outdoor play and ensure they are dried thoroughly before storing them in a container. They are fully compatible with other Yellow Door sensory resources and can be paired with base-ten blocks or counting frames to further bridge the gap between concrete objects and numerical symbols. Store the stones in a cool, dry place when not in use to prevent loss.
