FAQs

How often should I replace the earplugs?

These are disposable earplugs. They should be discarded after each use.

Can I wash and reuse these earplugs?

No, these are disposable earplugs and should not be washed or reused.

Are these earplugs suitable for children?

These earplugs are designed for adults. They may not be suitable for children due to ear canal size.

How do I know if I have inserted them correctly?

Once inserted, the earplugs should expand to fill the ear canal. You should not be able to see the end of the earplug when looking in a mirror. Also, the surrounding noise should be reduced.

What is the SNR rating?

SNR stands for Single Number Rating. It is a value that indicates the amount of noise reduction provided by the earplugs. The DeWalt Foam Ear Plugs have an SNR of 31.

Where should I store the earplugs?

Store the earplugs in the original resealable bag in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

Earplugs feel uncomfortable or cause pressure.

Try re-inserting the earplugs, ensuring they are fully compressed before insertion. If discomfort persists, try a different size or style of earplug.

Earplugs do not seem to be blocking noise effectively.

Ensure the earplugs are inserted correctly, creating a tight seal within the ear canal. If noise reduction is still insufficient, consider using earplugs with a higher noise reduction rating.

  4. Hold: Hold the earplug in place for 30-60 seconds, or until it expands and fills the ear canal.
  5. Removal: Gently remove the earplug by twisting and removing it slowly.
