Yes, the steel strips are designed to have some flexibility, allowing you to create gentle curves for your garden layout.
The finish is designed for outdoor use and is resistant to weather-related fading, though it should be kept clear of abrasive materials.
The EdgeMaster steel is treated to resist corrosion, making it highly durable against moisture in typical garden environments.
Each strip includes 5 ground spikes to ensure secure and stable anchoring.
Yes, the steel can be cut using appropriate metal-cutting tools, though you should file the edges smooth afterwards for safety.
Ensure that the ground spikes are driven fully into the soil at a slight angle toward the garden bed for maximum tension.
Check the dual lock mechanism for any trapped soil or debris and ensure the strips are perfectly level with one another before pushing them together.
If the ground is dry or hard, saturate the area with water for several hours before attempting installation to soften the soil.
To install, first define your border path and dig a shallow trench along the edge. Insert the strips into the trench, locking them together using the integrated dual lock system. Once positioned, use a mallet to drive the provided 5 ground spikes through the pre-drilled holes in each strip to secure them firmly against the soil. Ensure the top edge of the steel is at the desired height relative to your lawn level to allow for easy mower clearance. To care for your EdgeMaster edging, simply clear away excess debris or overgrown grass from the perimeter annually. Avoid using harsh chemicals or industrial pressure washers, as a simple rinse with a garden hose will keep the anthracite finish clean and intact.
