Setup, Compatibility & Care
To prepare the fabric, it is recommended to pre-wash it at 40 degrees Celsius to account for any initial shrinkage before cutting your pattern. For sewing, use a standard universal sewing needle (size 70/10 or 80/12) and a polyester thread. When pressing, use a medium-hot iron with steam to achieve crisp results, being careful to follow the straight grain of the fabric to avoid distorting the check pattern. Since the fabric is sold by the metre as one continuous piece, always inspect your required yardage before cutting to ensure you have enough for matching the gingham pattern across your pieces.
