Product Information
Full details
Gain Opti-Care Balancer is a low-calorie horse feed that is a useful addition to many feeding programs. This nutrient-rich pellet is a non-heating, multi-purpose feed balancer, formerly known as Opti-Grow Pellets. It contains Bioplex protected trace elements for maximum availability, Selplex protected selenium to boost antioxidant status, and Yea-Sacc live yeast to promote fiber digestion, nutrient absorption, and healthy gut function. Proviox natural plant antioxidants improve Vitamin E utilization. It is a low-starch, oat-free balancer with four times the normal levels of vitamins and minerals. Suitable for horses with ERS, EMS, EGUS (Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome), laminitis, Cushing's disease, and 'fizzy' temperaments. It can be fed alone with forage, with added chaff, or as a top-up when feeding less than recommended quantities of a mix or cube. Feeding at a rate of 100g/100kg bodyweight/day provides a sound diet base for all horses and ponies. It is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals for broodmares at all stages of pregnancy and is ideal for foals, weanlings, and yearlings not requiring additional condition. It is highly recommended for youngstock prone to DOD, including OCD, epiphysitis, and contracted tendons. Soya bean meal provides excellent quality protein for development, muscle repair, and lactation.
