FAQs

How many sheets should I use per wash?

For a standard load of laundry, one sheet is typically sufficient. For very large loads or heavily soiled items, using two sheets is recommended.

Are these sheets safe for all washing machines?

Yes, Purum laundry sheets are compatible with all types of washing machines, including high-efficiency (HE) models.

Can I use these sheets for hand washing?

These sheets are designed for machine washing. For hand washing, it is best to use a traditional liquid or powder detergent.

What are the ingredients in the laundry sheets?

The sheets are made with natural, plant-based ingredients including corn starch, coconut-derived surfactants, and citric acid.

How long do the sheets last?

A 64-pack provides 64 washes if you use one sheet per wash. The product should be stored in a cool, dry place and will maintain efficacy for a considerable time, though checking the packaging for any specific 'use by' date is advisable.

What is the cost per wash?

The cost per wash is from 7p, making them a very economical choice.

Are the scents overpowering?

The scents are designed to be fresh and pleasant, not overpowering. You can adjust the number of sheets used to influence scent intensity.

Troubleshooting

Sheet does not dissolve completely.

Ensure the sheet is placed directly into the washing machine drum, not in a dispenser. Use the correct load size for the number of sheets used. Ensure sufficient water is present in the cycle.

Laundry does not feel as clean as expected.

For very large or heavily soiled loads, try using two sheets instead of one. Ensure the washing machine is not overloaded.

Washing machine has residue.

This is uncommon as the sheets are designed to dissolve fully. Run a cleaning cycle on your machine or a hot water wash with an empty drum if residue persists.

Scent is too mild or too strong.

Adjust the number of sheets used based on load size and personal preference. For a stronger scent, use two sheets; for a milder scent, try using a half sheet (if cutting is feasible and desired, though not recommended for optimal dissolution).

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: Using Purum laundry sheets is straightforward. Simply place one pre-measured sheet directly into the washing machine drum before adding your clothes. For standard loads, one sheet is sufficient. For very large or heavily soiled loads, consider using two sheets. Add your clothes as usual and start your preferred wash cycle.

Compatibility: These sheets are safe and effective for use with all types of washing machines, including standard and high-efficiency (HE) models. They are also suitable for all fabric types, from delicate silks to sturdy cottons, and can be used in hot or cold water.

Care: Store the laundry sheets in their original cardboard packaging in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain their integrity. Ensure the packaging is closed after use. The sheets are designed to dissolve completely, so no special care is needed for the washing machine itself.
