RIO Elite Stillwater Floating Fly Line - Orange

WF stands for Weight Forward, and the number indicates the weight of the fly line, which should match your fly rod's rating. WF5 is for a 5-weight rod, WF8 is for an 8-weight rod.

Use a nail knot or a similar strong knot designed for connecting fly lines to backing.

Clean your line after every few outings or whenever you notice a decrease in performance or if it appears dirty.

Store the fly line in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. You can store it on the reel or in a line holder.

Use a leader that matches your fishing situation. A tapered leader of 7.5 to 9 feet is a good starting point.

While this line can be used in saltwater, be sure to rinse it thoroughly with fresh water after each use to prevent salt buildup and maintain its performance.

Carefully work out the tangles by gently pulling the line apart. If the tangle is severe, you may need to cut it off and re-rig your setup.

Clean the line thoroughly with a fly line cleaner. Ensure there is no damage to the line.

Check for tangles and ensure the line is free of debris. Make sure your casting technique is smooth and efficient.

Stretch the line gently before use. Store the line properly, out of direct sunlight.
