FAQs
Can I use these for bottom fishing?
These are specifically designed for zig rig fishing; using them on the bottom will likely result in the bait hovering above your hook unless weighted down.
How many come in a pack?
Each pack contains 8 pieces.
Does the bait need foam?
No, the material itself is permanently buoyant.
Why the black and yellow color?
These colors provide the highest contrast underwater, creating a silhouette that is easier for carp to detect in various lighting conditions.
What is the diameter of the bait?
The bait is 8mm in diameter.
Troubleshooting
Bait is spinning or twisting on the cast
Ensure the bait is centered correctly on the zig rig hair or band to maintain a balanced profile.
Scent release is not lasting long enough
Soak the dumbbells in a high-concentration liquid attractant for at least 24 hours prior to your fishing session.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Proven high-contrast color scheme for maximum visibility
- Excellent absorption and gradual release of liquid attractants
- Permanently buoyant material requires no additional foam
- Durable design holds position reliably
Cons
- Size is specific to zig rig fishing only
- Requires proper zig rig setup knowledge for optimal results
- Limited to one color combination
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To achieve the best results, use a fine bait needle or a dedicated zig bait band to attach the 8mm dumbbell to your hook. Ensure your zig rig leader is adjusted to the appropriate depth before casting, as the permanent buoyancy of the material will keep it fixed in place once it settles.
Care is minimal: store the dumbbells in a cool, dry place to maintain their structural integrity. If you intend to use them with heavy boosters, keep them in a sealed container to prevent them from drying out or losing their potency between sessions.
