FAQs

Can I use this dome in the winter?

Yes, it is designed for all-season use and can withstand up to 90 lbs of snow load, making it suitable for winter gardens.

How many people can fit inside?

The 12ft dome comfortably accommodates 4-7 people depending on your furniture setup.

Is the tent windproof?

It is wind-resistant up to 31 mph; however, it should not be used in extreme storm conditions.

How tall is the peak?

The dome has a peak height of 7.2 feet.

What is the best way to clean the panels?

Use a mixture of mild soap and water with a soft, non-abrasive cloth to prevent scratching the transparent material.

Does it come with a floor?

The base is typically designed to sit on a flat surface; verify the included component list for ground covers or mats.

Troubleshooting

Frame sections do not lock into place

Ensure all joints are cleared of debris and verify that you are connecting the correct pipe lengths as indicated in the manual.

Dome appears unstable or loose

Check that the structure is anchored correctly to the ground and all quick-connect joints are fully clicked into their locked position.

Condensation building up inside

Improve airflow by opening the doors or windows periodically to regulate the internal temperature and humidity.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Provides expansive 360-degree panoramic views
Generous 7.2-foot peak height allows for easy standing
Suitable for year-round use with high wind and snow load tolerances
Versatile application for greenhouses, parties, or camping
Comfortably accommodates groups of 4-7 people

Cons

Requires significant setup time for initial assembly
Transparent material requires frequent cleaning to maintain visibility
Large footprint demands a flat, level area for installation

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup requires an open, level surface free of sharp debris that could puncture the transparent panels. Because of the geodesic design, it is recommended to lay out all frame components before beginning assembly to ensure each quick-connect joint is aligned correctly. Compatibility with accessories like portable space heaters or cooling fans is possible, provided they are kept away from the structure's walls to prevent heat damage. For care, clean the surface periodically using a soft cloth, mild soap, and water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes, as these will scratch the surface and reduce transparency over time.
