Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
The bike typically arrives partially assembled. Basic assembly involves attaching the handlebars, front wheel, pedals, and adjusting the seat height. Detailed instructions are provided in the included manual, and it's recommended to have a professional bike mechanic check the setup for optimal performance and safety.
Compatibility
The FX+ 2 Stagger is compatible with standard bicycle accessories. The MIK-compatible rear rack is designed to work with MIK-compatible bags and baskets. Standard bicycle repair tools are suitable for basic maintenance. Replacement parts, such as tires and brake pads, are readily available from Trek dealers and online retailers.
Care
- Cleaning: Wipe down the frame regularly with a damp cloth to remove dirt and grime. Avoid using high-pressure water, which can damage sensitive components.
- Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid extreme temperatures. Charge the battery regularly, even if you are not using the bike.
- Maintenance: Regularly inspect the tires, brakes, and drivetrain. Have the bike serviced by a professional mechanic at least once a year or as needed. Keep the chain lubricated.
